Alabama Operation Recognition, High School Diplomas for Wartime Veterans
Veterans who left high school before graduating to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces can receive high school diplomas.
Eligibility Requirements:
Veterans must have served at any time between the following dates:

June 27, 1950, through January 31, 1955

State employees who are service members serving in a reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces can receive 168 working hours paid leave per calendar year for military service.

Alabama Hunting and Fishing Licenses for Nonresident Active Duty Service Members and their Dependents at Resident Rates: Nonresident service members and their dependents can purchase Alabama hunting and fishing licenses for resident prices.

Alabama Parks for Patriots Program for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members: The Alabama Parks for Patriots Program offers free admission to Alabama State Parks for resident Veterans and active duty service members.

Who is eligible for care at an Alabama State Veterans Home? Veterans must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission:
Served at least 90 days on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and received an honorable discharge
Veterans who enlisted after September 7, 1980, and those commissioned after October 16, 1981, must have served a minimum of 24 continuous months or the full period of their service obligation and received an honorable discharge
Meets **VA requirements for skilled nursing care or domiciliary/assisted living**

Alabama National Guard Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program (J.E.E.P.) Recruiting Incentive: Alabama National Guard J.E.E.P. provides a financial incentive of $500 to Alabama National Guard service members and retired service members who provide a lead to recruiters that results in an enlistment. Service members are authorized compensation for 20 recruits per fiscal year.
Service members are expected to guide, motivate, and encourage recruits all the way up to the point of enlistment.
